What exactly is  "CD-Mastering"?

In fact it is not correct to call it "Mastering". More correct is Pre-Mastering as the real Master from a CD only can be made from a
CD-press plant. However in general the definition "CD-Mastering" established oneself. But what does it mean exactly?
 
After recording and mixing of songs in a production-studio the Mastering is the third and last step to produce a CD. It may often happen that there is a time interval between the recording of various titles and even very often are those titles recorded or mixed in different studios. Therefore it is not surprising that they sound very different. But the ready-made CD should sound as of made of one piece, meaning that the listener should have the impression by hearing the CD that all songs are of the same top quality.  A not mastered title sounds generally to the listeners weaker, powerless and much more soften in comparison with CD’s purchased in a store.
 
The Mastering-Engineer can, with the support of special equipments, interfere in ready mixtures to optimize the sound of the music and even to improve the quality. Single Instruments and / or voices however can be improved very limited.
Finally CD-Text and, if requested also Sales-Codes like EAN and/or ISRC can be added. In addition to this, we will guarantee, that the ready Pre-Master fulfil all requirements  and standards to be pressed successful as a powerful sounded CD. Our quality can stand any international competition.
